Check-off

Payroll deductions in one remittance.

Each month Bridge prepares a schedule for every employer. The employer remits once; Bridge applies each member's deduction to the right loan, deposit and share account, and flags any shortfall member by member.

  1. Step 1: Schedule sent to the employer

Every month, per employer, with each member's deductions.

  2. Step 2: Employer remits one payment

One transfer covers all their staff who are members.

  3. Step 3: Bridge allocates per member

To the right loan, deposit and share account.

  4. Step 4: Shortfalls flagged to the treasurer

Member by member, so nothing goes unnoticed.

Suspense

Wrong references are normal. We plan for them.

A payment that can't be matched waits in a suspense queue with suggested matches by reference, amount and name. An officer resolves it to the right member, or returns it to the sender.

  • Suggested matches for every unmatched payment
  • Suspense money is never treated as the society's own
  • Payments from non-members are returned, not absorbed
  • Ageing report so nothing sits forgotten

When a rail goes down

Payments queue and retry, and officers are told what happened and when it's resolved.

Paying in at another society's counter

Within a network, a member can pay in at a partner society's counter and the money reaches their own account. An apex can arrange one rail for the whole movement.
