Transfer shares between members
Who can do this Secretary
Steps
- Open Shares and select Transfer shares.
- Choose the From member, the To member and the number of Units.
- Choose the consideration (None, or Agreed between members) and upload the resolution document.
- Select Transfer, check the review sheet and confirm it’s you.
What happens next
The share register changes for both members straight away. Your share capital total doesn’t change.
Common problems
"Membership requires at least 20 share units"
The member transferring can't drop below the minimum while they remain a member. Transfer fewer units.
"Pledged shares cannot be transferred"
Release the pledge, or transfer only unpledged units.
